Kids rooms are always fun to decorate, there is so much one can do in your childs room. There is always a theme one can choose or a favourite colour or character. Lovely bright colours are always a good idea and a start. You can purchase such fabulous duvet sets these days and you could work your theme around that, or you can find plain coloured duvet sets and work your childs room around wallpaper or just a great combination of colours.
There are so many different ways of introducing the colour or theme into the room. Colour on the walls, wallpaper, throws, scatters, toys or even pictures on the walls. Now days you can find great stick-on wall art in most stores and that could be a start to your theme.
Girls rooms are usually the easiest and most fun, but I really enjoy decorating boys rooms. They are very different and just as much fun. One always think of blue for boys rooms but Navy and red looks fabulous and even Camo is great and now days you can get Camo in shades of grey. Charcoals and soft greys with a hint of colour looks really good. And navy and accents of another colour also works. So be adventurous with your son’s room. Paint always helps so paint a wall a strong colour or paint the furniture a fun colour, bright red if you are stuck. Pop different handles on the cupboard doors, throw a bean bag on the floor in a funky colour. Flags on the wall or world maps as a mural. There are lots of ideas if you think out the box 🙂
