I recently rearranged and curtained this entrance hall for a client. Sometime its just re-arranging of furniture and re-grouping of pictures and paintings that can change a room totally. In this case my clients walls were a very yellow cream and I changed that to a light oatmeal colour she had orange and cream sponged concrete pillars with a glass top opposite the door. I found a gorgeous drop side table she had in another room and moved that into the entrance hall, recovered and antique chair and introduce a lamp for soft lighting and re-arranged the paintings, ornaments and mirrors.
I dressed the front door area with a lovely curtain floor to ceiling on a neutral rebated rod. The curtain has a large floral design that is very tranquil with duck egg and touch of yellow.
The entrance hall is large and the only place for the desk, but re-framing the family etchings has made a huge difference to this area.
