Amanda’s Shabby Chic Shop on the Midlands Meander

Tomorrow is our official opening of Amanda’s Shabby Chic Shop.  I share this gorgeous little corrigated iron house with Dirt Road Traders.  We are a work in progress as we have so many fabulous ideas in the pipeline.  I have started working with very talented artists in the Kwa-zulu Natal area, so you really need to keep visiting as we have fabulous product on the way.  I have all my fabric samples at the shop now and have already connected with local carpenters and builders in the area.  As you know I am a qualified Interior Designer and Project Manager, and specialise in renovations and building projects.  As well as all soft furnishings, paint colour and general re-arranging and space planning as seen on my TV show – Decor 101 on the Home Channel.

I have a passion for old furniture and especially re-vamping pieces that most would feel could never be transformed.  Clients and friends are totally shocked when they see the drastic transformation to an old sofa or chair they would never give a second look at.  If you are looking for a special gift or piece of furniture then the shop is well worth the visit.

Marion and I are working on a new handbag range.  Marion is very talented and has been making her stylish range of canvas and leather handbags and luggage for many years.  And every time we put our heads together all sorts of other fabulous ideas pop up, so we will be experimenting and coming up with wonderful creations.

If you are in the area tomorrow please pop in and join us for our official launch, come for a cup of tea and cake, and look see.   We will have Dot, from Beaute Pacifique doing collagen scanning and Janine doing vitamin scanning.  You can also poke your nose in and have a look at the little factory on the property.
