AMANDA LANDERS INTERIORS
You will find a selection of photographs from projects I have worked on over the last 18 years as an Interior Designer. I am not always able to take photographs of all the projects I work on, as many clients do not like their homes to be seen by the public.
BUSH HOME – LOCK-UP & GO
This project I was involved in from building stage, I also project managed and specified all the building finishes, lighting, flooring, colours on the walls, including the design of the plunge pool and garden. This home is a lock-up and go townhouse on the edge of a reserve, my client wanted a rustic feel, with a modern feel. I think I managed to create a mixture of clean modern lines with touches of an earthy feel. I was lucky the client had a professional photographer in to take some fabulous shots.
TV ROOM – HOME IN MORNINGSIDE
FORMAL LOUNGE – HOME IN BRYANSTON
BOART LONGYEAR OFFICES
I relocated this company from very old offices to a whole new building. I was given a shell of a building and needed to transform it into a functional office space of two large floors, with numerous offices and boardrooms, both excutive and standard, including reception areas and huge open plan office areas. Unfortunately these photo’s were taken before pictures went up, and in some areas still needed extra accessories.
DAINFERN HOME & RENOVATION
I decorated and designed the entire house, including the new wing. My client loves rich colours and especially orange, so my brief was to make sure there was a lot of orange and lovely rich colours throughout the home.
This room is part of the new extension, with cemcrete floors. I sourced and had all the furnishings in this room specially made.
This room was not used much, it was rather boring. So with new scatters, rug and gorgeous colour on the wall it took up new life. I had a bar area built in, one wall covered with the husbands African Traditional Mask collection and a gorgeous large mirror on the other wall to satisfy the wife’s wishes.
COUNTRY VILLA – Beautiful rambling Provence style family home
PARKWOOD BATHROOM RENOVATION
This is a lovely old home in Parkwood, as usual the bathrooms needed alot of attentionand a drastic revamp. I ripped up the old tatty carpet, put down a cream cemcrete floor.
Softened the wall colour, found beautiful ceramic tiles for around the bath and had a vanity made with a new basin. I found an old mirror in a junk shop and paint techniqued it and purchased wooden shutter that I paint techniqued to look like lovely old shutters you would find in a french chateaux.
